Florida's housing market is bouncing back.

Sales of existing homes jumped 13 percent in the first quarter compared to last year, according to a new report from the National Association of Realtors.

The report shows 17 of 19 metropolitan areas in Florida are recording more home sales.

In Houston the home construction rate had increased more people preferred to build their home base on the design they wanted rather than buying a ready made house.
