There’s good news and bad news in CoreLogic’s analysis of the housing market’s lurking “shadow inventory.” The bad news is that everyone in the real estate business knows it coming and will likely trigger another wave of foreclosures in 2011.

The good news is that housing data tracking firms, such as CoreLogic, are beginning to better estimate how many potential future foreclosures are out there.
