Wood working is also an art to deal with. But while working or designing any furniture, desk, etc using wood we should be very careful and follow the safety needs.
designing a log cabin would take a week i guess and with out experience it will end up as some other thing...:)

we had a hunting cabin out in canada... made up of logs. i remember i was 10 years old and i used to love it there. Alas it burned down when i was 12 and now we have an ugly brick building.
