For most Americans, moving out of Mom and Dad''s house means moving into a rental unit of their own. Not only is an apartment the home of choice for young adults leaving the nest, statistics show an increasing number of Americans are opting to rent as a permanent housing arrangement.

In 2004, more than 36 million households occupied rental units in the United States, according to the U.S. Census Bureau.

We never even thought you could get a security system if you only rent an apartment.  I would like to get one of these for my Grampa who lives in an apartment.  It would make me feel better knowing that he is safe.
